Rocket Software Completes Acquisition of Trubiquity

Rocket Software has acquired Trubiquity. Following is some information about the transaction, and what it means to existing customers and partners.
Q. Who is Trubiquity?
A: Trubiquity (“Trubiquity”) is a global provider of software for managed file transfer and information logistics. Since its inception in 1995, Trubiquity has established a strong track record of success, and now securely manages the exchange of approximately one million transactions every month for over 6,500 customers in 40+ countries.
Q. Why did Rocket Software acquire Trubiquity?
A. Over the last 19 years, Trubiquity has built a reputation for delivering solutions that ensure that the right data is delivered in the right format at the right time, both within a company and between companies. These solutions fit well with our data access and integration offerings at Rocket.
Q: When was the deal closed?
A: This transaction closed on February 28th, 2014.
Q. Will Rocket retain the Trubiquity name?
A. Rocket will retain the Trubiquity name in association with the acquired products.
Q. How will the Trubiquity team fit into Rocket Software?
A. The Trubiquity team, which is based in Troy, Michigan with additional offices in Carlsbad, California, Leeds, UK and three locations in Germany, is joining the Rocket global organization of more than 1,000 Rocketeers. Trubiquity is now part of our data access and integration offerings here at Rocket.
Q: What is Rocket planning to do with Trubiquity?
A: Rocket is planning to invest in the continued growth of Trubiquity as part of Rocket data access and integration offerings. We will leverage our global platform and R&D expertise to help this new business achieve this growth as part of Rocket.
Q. What are the financial terms of this acquisition?
A. The financial terms of this acquisition are not being disclosed.
Q. How many Trubiquity employees are joining Rocket?
A. We are pleased to announce that the entire Trubiquity team is joining Rocket.
Q. Will Trubiquity employees remain in the same offices/cities?
A. Our new Rocketeers from Trubiquity will remain in their existing offices.
Q. What does this mean for existing Trubiquity customers?
A. Existing customers will have the same relationships they currently have with the development, technical support, sales and services teams. Rocket is firmly committed to Trubiquity solutions, and we will continue to deliver the reliability and service levels that customers have come to expect.

A. Support contacts will remain the same, given that the entire Trubiquity team is joining Rocket.
