Trubiquity Selected to Manage EDI transactions and implement a major EDI Cloud Project for German Trading House dennree

04252013dennreedennree*, the leading trading house for organic food and cosmetics in German-speaking countries, maintains a highly proficient logistics process for their products. To achieve the same high level of process efficiency, security and data quality for their electronic information exchange in its supply chain, dennree sought a new EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) service provider. In consideration of extensive experience managing EDI transactions for major retailers across the globe, dennree chose Trubiquity and subsequently commissioned a major EDI cloud project.
The project objective was to integrate all dennree suppliers with whom dennree is exchanging business documents such as Orders, Invoices and Despatch Advices, into the electronic data exchange (EDI) system. An additional goal was to enable the large number of dennree’s smaller organic producers quick and easy access to digital document data exchange via Trubiquity’s WebEDI solution.
Within the year, the Trubiquity team successfully completed the initial phase of the project by replacing dennree’s existing electronic data exchange system with TRUedx™, a cloud-based EDI solution. In the first phase of the implementation, 200 suppliers were migrated to the new Trubiquity EDI platform of which 60 percent are communicating with dennree through classical EDI procedures, while 40 percent are using WebEDI methods. To acquire additional value from their existing system, a specific interface to the dennree ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system allows for automated electronic data exchange with the TRUedx™ platform. For utmost accuracy, the system checks for business-process-specific data validation and syntactical correctness.
Through use of the TRUedx™ platform, Trubiquity now manages all EDI transactions for dennree and its suppliers. The service agreement includes use of the application and technical support for dennree and its partners. As all Trubiquity solutions are scalable, the agreement also supports integration of future partners.
“Key considerations in our decision to go with Trubiquity were their many years of proven competence and the company’s specialized know-how of business processes in the trade/retail sector. In addition, Trubiquity’s WebEDI platform was the only solution that met our requirements. Also, with regard to future demands, the Trubiquity solution offers excellent opportunities”, stated Jens Schinnerling, Purchasing Manager at dennree.
Currently, Trubiquity manages the processing of electronic invoices for all connected suppliers. In addition, the on-boarding of additional suppliers is running as scheduled. The next step encompasses adding credit notes to the electronic invoicing process as well as implementing additional user-friendly functionality such as access to deposited master data which is available through Trubiquity’s TRUedx™ WebEDI solution.
