JIM, part of Trubiquity’s TRUfusion Solution Line, controls and manages the company-wide access to product design data. The solution converts proprietary CAD formats, CATIA V4 & V5 and PLM structures into neutral file formats including VDA-FS, ACIS SAT, Open CASCADE, Open Inventor or OpenSceneGraph for further processing.

By using JIM, companies ensure that people outside the usual CAD/PLM workflow, e.g. measurement engineers, technical editors etc., enjoy easy access to CAD and PLM data regardless of hard- or software boundaries. Downloaded geometries can be used for e.g. presentations, illustrations or calculations.

Thanks to its client/server technology and easy-to-use JAVA interface, JIM can be operated from any computer within the network. JIM is highly integrated with TRUfusion Enterprise, Trubiquity’s on-premise solution for automated product design data exchange across the value chain, but can also be used in combination with virtually any other data exchange solution by means of the in-built batch interface.
